Peter Nguyen (he/him)

Hi! I'm Peter, and I support master's students in the MS STAT and AMDS programs with everything from academic advising and program operations to career and professional placement. Whether you're planning your course schedule, navigating an enrollment question, or contemplating life after graduation, my door is always open. You can find me in Padelford B-312.

I joined the Department of Statistics after earning my MPA from the UW Evans School of Public Policy & Governance in June 2026. Before that, my experience included program coordination, talent acquisition, graduate admissions, and community services for various organizations in both the public and private sectors, such as Seattle City Light and Amazon. My passion lies in helping people, especially students and professionals from underrepresented and marginalized communities, access opportunities and grow in their careers.

As a first-generation college student from White Center, Seattle, WA, I understand the importance of having someone in your corner to help you navigate the unwritten rules of higher education and the job market. That’s the type of support I strive to offer here.

Outside of work, you can find me baking, exploring new restaurants, cafés, and bakeries around Seattle, playing video games, or hosting friends and family for dinner and game nights with mahjong or board games.
