Faculty Meeting

The regular meeting of the faculty of the Department of Statistics was held in a virtual format via Zoom at 12:30pm, November 20, 2023. Abel Rodriguez, Department Chair, presided at the meeting. Kristine Chan was recording secretary.

New Business

Pedagogy – The Center for Teaching and Learning Workshop: This workshop was led by Carolyn Levy and Wei Zuo on “Inclusive Teaching: A Facilitated Conversation for the Department of Statistics Educators”, which centered around Addressing Microaggressions in the Classroom and Inclusive Teaching. They shared a packet during the workshop to help facilitate the conversations between faculty and TAs when it comes to instructing classes. They also share additional resources on more CLT workshops as well as where to submit questions or contact CLT.
