Faculty Meeting

The regular meeting of the faculty of the Department of Statistics was held on Zoom at 12:30pm, April 11, 2022. Abel Rodriguez, Department Chair, presided at the meeting. Kristine Chan was recording secretary. 

Chair Remarks 

Title IX Sexual Harassment Training: This is a required online prevention and response course about sex- and gender-based violence and harassment that is required for UW faculty, staff, and student employees. To access to employee course, you can visit this link. The College of Arts & Sciences has given everyone a deadline of May 19, 2022 to complete. 

Committee Reports 

B.S. Revamp Committee: The Chair shared the slides of the proposal, which consist of an overview of the proposal regarding curriculum (i.e. goals, process, timeline, committee work, who are on the committee board, steps that were taken, TA support, etc.). There was a robust discussion during the presentation, and no major concerns were raised.  A follow-up on this discussion will be held next month in May 2022.
