A number of domain applications of data science, machine learning, mathematical optimization, control theory, have underscored the importance of the assumptions on the data generating mechanisms, changes, and biases. Distributional robustness has emerged as one promising framework to address some of these challenges.

This workshop is organized by the Institute for Foundations of Data Science, UW NSF TRIPODS institute, will survey the mathematical, statistical, and algorithmic foundations as well as advances at the frontiers of this area. The workshop features talks by researchers in machine learning, optimization, control, and AI.

The workshop will be held on the UW Seattle campus, from August 4th to August 6th, 2022. Please register here before July 6th, 2022.
