We are pleased to announce that Zaid Harchaoui, Associate Professor of Statistics, has received grant funding support from the National Institute of Mental Health of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for his research on “Explainable Machine Learning to Guide Prefrontal Brain Stimulation”.
Harchaoui’s project aims to develop explainable and stable machine learning solutions for a wide range of neurological and psychiatric disorders through brain stimulation. The goal is to discover how targeted stimulation drives changes in network dynamics and connectivity at a large scale and across multiple brain areas. As such, it will result in the design of AI-guided neuro-stimulation that can modulate and improve higher cognitive function, such as working memory, attention, and executive control.
Congratulations to Zaid Harchaoui on his success!
