Emily Fox and Marina Meila will be serving as co-Chairs for the programs of flagship Machine Learning Conferences.

Emily Fox is Program co-Chair, along with Hugo Larochelle, (Chair) and Alina Beygelzimer, Florence d'Alché-Buc (co-Chairs) of the 2019 NeurIPS Conference. In 2019, NeurIPS received a record-breaking 6743 submissions, of which 1428 were accepted (including 36 orals and 164 spotlights). The selection involved 40 Senior Area Chairs, over 300 Area Chairs, and more than 1000 reviewers. The Conference will take place this December, in Vancouver.

Marina Meila, together with Tong Zhang (University of Hong Kong) is co-Program Chair of the 2020 International Machine Learning Conference. In 2019, a total of 774 papers got accepted for ICML 2019 out of 3424 initial submissions (22.6% acceptance rate). The Program Committee involved 35 Senior Area Chairs, over 200 Area Chairs, and over 300 reviewers. ICML 2021 will take place in Seoul. 

The NeurIPS and ICML conferences are the two most prestigious and competitive meetings in Machine Learning worldwide, publishing cutting-edge research on all aspects of machine learning and in closely related areas like artificial intelligence, statistics and data science, as well as important application areas such as machine vision, computational biology, speech recognition, and robotics.
