Statistical and mathematical descriptions of social networks. Topics include graphical and matrix representations of social networks, sampling methods, statistical analysis of network data, and applications. Prerequisite: two introductory applied statistics courses at the level of SOC 504 and SOC 505 (or equivalent). Offered: jointly with CSSS 567.
