Tamás Rudas is Professor in the Department of Statistics of the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest (ELTE) and is also an Affiliate Professor in the Statistics Department of UW. His work concentrates on the analysis of categorical data, including generalizations of the log-linear model to marginal and relational models, and on measuring model fit. He is Past President of the European Association of Methodology, and was the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of ELTE, and Director-General of the Center for Social Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
