Bio:
Ping Li is the Head of Cognitive Computing Lab (CCL) at Baidu, to conduct basic research in AI, Statistics, and related fields. Members of CCL also work closely together with many product groups (Advertisement, Search, Feed, Knowledge Graph, Input Method Editors, Maps, etc.) to improve Baidu's products. Ping Li earned his PhD in Statistics, MS in Electric Engineering, MS in Computer Science, from Stanford University. He also earned master degrees from the University of Washington (Seattle) before moving to Stanford. Ping Li has received a number of awards, including the Young Investigator Award (YIP) from the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Young Investigator Award (YIP) from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the ``Excellence in Research" Certificate from Microsoft, the Best Paper Award (with his PhD student) in NIPS'14, etc.
